1 – 2019 Disney Marathon Takes Place On Sunday

January 13, 2019 • The Disney World marathon took place on Sunday morning. Running started the 26.2 mile race at 5:30 a.m. on Sunday. The route took them through all four Walt Disney World parks. According to the Orlando Sentinel, Brazilian native Fredison Costa out of Kissimmee won the marathon, making that his seventh Disney World Marathon championship. The event was the very last of a weekend full of races. Thousands of runners participated in a 5K, 10K, and a half-marathon. That all lead up to Sunday’s full marathon. Read More

2 – Disney CEO Stock Award Worth As Much As $149.6 Million In 2018

January 11, 2019 • Walt Disney Co (DIS.N) Chief Executive Officer Robert Iger earned stock grants worth as much as $149.6 million in 2018, including awards related to Disney’s purchase of film and television assets from Twenty-First Century Fox (FOXA.O), according to a regulatory filing http://bit.ly/2D5dNjy on Friday. The media and entertainment company reported that Iger’s compensation rose 80.9 percent to $65.6 million, excluding awards based on the Fox deal. Last month, Iger agreed to certain adjustments to his compensation package, which ties his paycheck to the company’s performance, as it nears completion of the deal. Read More

January 12, 2019 • If you visited Disney World, then you’ve most likely had a mouse-shaped ice cream bar. Well, now you can enjoy this park favorite treat in the comfort of your own home. 4 – It Took Disney 50 Years, But It Finally Buys Osceola Ranch Land

January 13, 2019 • It may have taken 50 years, but Disney finally convinced one of Osceola County’s pioneer ranching families to sell some of their land holdings. Descendents of legendary cattle rancher Oren Brown — notorious for refusing to sell his land to Disney for the original theme park — agreed to sell most of their remaining ranch property on Jan. 3 for $11 million. Read More

5 – Tim Tebow And Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters Celebrate Their Engagement At Disney World

January 11, 2019 • Tim Tebow didn’t win the Superbowl, but that didn’t stop him from celebrating at Disney World! Earlier this week, the former NFL quarterback, 31, proposed to his girlfriend Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters at his family’s farm outside of Jacksonville, Florida.
