1 – Disney Will End Netflix Deal And Offer Its Own Streaming Services
August 9, 2017 • This was the biggest thing to hit the Disney News circuit this week. Disney is saying goodbye to Netflix and will aggressively enter the crowded subscription streaming market. There will be one streaming service for sports and another for films and television shows, the company announced on Tuesday. The same day it reported weak fiscal third-quarter earnings. 2 – DuckTales Premieres On Disney XD With 24-Hour Movie Marathon
August 12, 2017 • Disney XD premieres DuckTales with an hour-long television movie presented for 24 consecutive hours. The series will then debut with two new episodes on Saturday, September 23, which coincides with the 30th anniversary of the original Emmy-winning series. August 9, 2017 • #DisneyParksLIVE launched a live stream of “Fantasmic!” – which just returned to Disneyland this summer after an upgrade to its mist screens and projection technology. It’s not brighter and magical than ever as it continues a 25-year tradition of bringing Mickey Mouse’s imagination to life on the Rivers of America.
5 – Sneak Peek Released Of New Merchandise For Epcot’s 22nd International Food & Wine Festival
August 10, 2017 • Expanding for a longer-than-ever 75-day run, the 22nd Epcot International Food & Wine Festivalreturns to Walt Disney World Resort from August 31 to November 13, 2017. The Disney Parks Merchandise team has developed more than 75 items celebrating the many ways guests can sip and taste their way throughout Epcot.
