1 – Pennsylvania man wins 25th anniversary Disney Marathon

January 7, 2017 • More than 25,000 runners from across the world braved temperatures in the 40s for the 25th anniversary of the Disney Marathon Sunday. Nicholas Hilton, wearing bib No. 2, was the first runner to cross the finish line at 7:49 a.m. Hilton, who is from Pennsylvania but has lived in Arizona, ran the marathon in 2:17:52. “It was a fun race,” Hilton said. “Once you know you’re in the lead, you get a big surge of energy.”Read More

3 – Fans Upset About Disney’s ‘Black Panther’ Pin

January 7, 2017 • Disney theme parks often have exclusive merchandise for visitors to purchase, but a new Black Panther collectible pin sold at Walt Disney World is upsetting fans. As reported by The Disney Pin Blog, a site used by the global Disney Pin collecting community to track the release of various pins available at Disney parks, the Black Panther pin became available last week, but an image shared by the blog’s Twitter revealed something a little off about the collectible. 4 – Disney’s ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ gets a new TV spot ahead of the Golden Globes

January 7, 2017 • Hey, look! A new peek at A Wrinkle in Time, Disney’s Ava DuVernay-directed adaptation of the literary classic by Madeleine L’Engle! This Golden Globes TV spot isn’t very long, but it’s yet another look at one of the year’s most highly anticipated movies. Featuring an all-star cast that includes Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, and Mindy Kaling and — as you can see here — a gorgeous fantasy setting, there’s a lot to like here. The technology has promise in a variety of areas, but consumer uses of it have yet to make a major splash. That may well have changed as Walt Disney (NYSE: DIS) has welcomed an immersive new VR experience to its Disney Springs shopping complex based on its Star Wars franchise.
