September 7, 2018 • The celebration of all things spooky started Friday at both Disneyland and California Adventure. The frightening festivities will last through Oct. 31. 2 – Disneyland Fans say Goodbye to ‘a bug’s land’ at Disney’s California Adventure
September 4, 2018 • It’s going to be even tougher now to be a bug at Disneyland, now that the cute “a bug’s land” at Disney California Adventure is being demolished to make way for a new Marvel superhero experience. Tuesday was the last day that the land was open for business, with its cute caterpillar, ant and ladybug-themed rides, where guests could feel like they were tiny insects as they walked beneath giant clover plants in a garden environment. It’s slated to be shut down Wednesday, Sept. 5, to provide space for a new Marvel land opening in 2020, although a few elements from the insect kingdom will live on. Read More
3 – Walt Disney World Opens More ‘Disney After Hours’ Event Nights
September 6, 2018 • If all you want to do at Disney is spend a day at the Magic Kingdom, Disney After Hours might be the most efficient way to do that. Tickets cost $125 plus tax in advance (with annual pass and Disney Vacation Club discounts available), which gets you into the park at 7pm during the day of the event. Then you can stay in the park for three hours after it closes to the public, enjoying all major attractions — and free soft drinks and Mickey ice cream bars — with a much smaller crowd. Read More
4 – Epcot’s Spaceship Earth Reopens at Walt Disney World After Leak
September 4, 2018 • The iconic Spaceship Earth is back open again at Epcot, a Walt Disney World spokeswoman said Tuesday. The ride temporarily shut down Sunday after a minor leak. The problems were fixed and the ride reopened later that night. Read More
5 – Two Ships, New Cruise Terminal Weighed for Disney at PortMiami
September 9, 2018 • Disney Cruise Line would expand to a pair of big ships at PortMiami and would get first right to negotiate for a potential new cruise terminal on the south side of the port, according to a resolution to go before Miami-Dade County commissioners. Read More
