All You Need to Know About Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

It’s almost that time of year again – Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be returning to Magic Kingdom on select nights from August 16 through November 1, 2023. This separately ticketed event is a can’t-miss for anyone looking for some spooky fun at the Most Magical Place on Earth. Here’s everything you need to know if you’re planning to attend.

What It Includes

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party includes exclusive fireworks, live entertainment, trick-or-treating, character greetings, and more – all, while guests get to enjoy the park, decked out in its Halloween finest. Special lighting and fog effects transform the park into a delightfully eerie environment. Be sure to take in the happy haunts while enjoying attractions like the Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain, which will have shorter wait times since the party is a separately-ticketed event.

The Boo-To-You Halloween Parade is a highlight, with floats inspired by Disney villains and characters in costume. You can also meet characters like Jack Skellington, Moana, and many Disney villains throughout the park. And, of course, kids and kids-at-heart can go trick-or-treating for candy and healthy treats at various locations around the park.

Exclusive fireworks and shows like Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Stage Show should not be missed! You’ll also want to watch for the Headless Horseman before the parade.

When to Arrive

Be sure to check when park opening is for the day you’ll attend the party. On party nights, Magic Kingdom will close early to day guests and reopen for attendees at 7 pm. With your party ticket, you can enter as early as 4 pm.

Getting there early lets you enjoy some Magic Kingdom attractions with lower wait times before the party begins. If you’re more interested in the party’s exclusive entertainment, feel free to arrive closer to 7. Remember you’ll need a Magic Kingdom park ticket for earlier daytime admission – the party ticket alone won’t grant you access until 7 pm.

What to Wear

Part of the fun is dressing up in costume! Adults and children are welcome to dress up as their favorite Disney character, villain, princess, or anything family-friendly. Remember that costume masks cannot be worn, only decorative face masks. Also, be sure the costume doesn’t impede your ability to walk or see.

If dressing up isn’t your thing, a Halloween-themed shirt still adds a festive flair. If you need some costume inspiration, you’ll see lots of Mickey Mouse pumpkin ears and orange and black outfits!

Grab Your Tickets

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a separate ticketed event. Tickets start at around $100 for advance purchase, varying prices by party date. Tickets can sell out in advance, so purchase early for the best selection.

This special Halloween offering is popular with Disney fans and sells out completely on many nights. If it’s on your Disney bucket list, grab those tickets right when they go on sale!

With the party’s fun theming, character interactions, fireworks, and parade – plus lower crowds than a normal park day – Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a magical way to celebrate the spooky season. Follow these tips and you’ll be ready for a be-witching night at Magic Kingdom!
