Indulge in the enchantment of fall with Pumpkin Spice Mickey Beignets – a perfect blend of flavors & Disney magic! Recipe & joy inside. 🍂🎃 #FallMagic

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup 1 1/4 all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp 1 baking powder

  • 1/4 tsp 1/4 salt

  • 1/4 tsp 1/4 ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp 1/4 ground ginger

  • 1/8 tsp 1/8 ground nutmeg

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 milk

  • 1 tbsp 1 vanilla

  • vegetable oil (for frying)

  • powdered sugar (for dusting)

Directions

  • Prepare the Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, and ground nutmeg. These aromatic spices will infuse our beignets with that classic pumpkin spice charm.
  • Mix the Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix together the canned pumpkin puree, milk, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. The pumpkin gives these beignets their iconic autumnal hue and a rich, earthy flavor.
  • Combine the Mixtures: Gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this will keep your beignets wonderfully tender.
  • Heat the Oil: Heat at least 2 inches of vegetable oil in a heavy pot or Dutch oven to a temperature of 350°F (175°C). Maintaining the right oil temperature is crucial for achieving that perfect golden crust.
  • Fry to Perfection: Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of the batter and carefully place them into the hot oil, frying 3-4 beignets at a time. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until they turn a beautiful golden color.
  • Drain and Dust: Once your beignets are fried to perfection, transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil. Now comes the fun part – dust your warm beignets generously with powdered sugar, creating a snowy, sweet coating that’s simply irresistible.
  • Add the Mickey Touch: To really embrace the Disney spirit, you can use extra dough to create Mickey Mouse ears. Just form small circles of dough and attach them to the beignets to bring a touch of magic to each treat.
