Deliciously moist and perfectly seasoned, this traditional Disney copycat recipe from Steakhouse 55 for cornbread stuffing really has no rivals.

    Ingredients

    • 12 cups 12 Cornbread, Cubed

    • 2 tbsp 2 Olive Oil

    • 1 tbsp 1 Garlic, Finely Minced

    • 1 ea 1 White Onion, Diced

    • 1 cup 1 Celery, Finely Chopped

    • 1 tsp 1 Rubbed Sage

    • 1 tsp 1 Dried Thyme

    • 1 tsp 1 Poultry Seasoning

    • 1 tsp 1 Kosher Salt

    • 1/2 tsp 1/2 Black Pepper

    • 2 cups 2 Turkey Stock (Chicken Stock as Substitute)

    Directions

    • Pour 2 tablespoons of oil into skillet or pot. Add in the chopped garlic, celery and onion and cook 3 – 5 minutes until celery is softened and onions are translucent. Remove from heat and set aside.
    • Pour cornbread cubes into a large bowl and add herbs and seasonings. Stir well.
    • Mix in the sauteed vegetables.
    • Pour in turkey or chicken stock and combine. You may add more stock as needed until it reaches the desired consistency.
    • Spoon into serving dish. Serve as a compliment to turkey or chicken.

    Notes

    • If using fresh cornbread, you will need to bake the cubes for 5 – 7 minutes at 400° until golden brown. If not proceed to the next steps.
    • If not serving immediately, you can cover an oven-safe dish with aluminum foil and keep in a low-temperature oven until ready to serve.
